May 15, 2003 - The Pistol Lift is Dismantled.
Return Station Process Pistol tower down.
The return station, installed in 1969, at the top of the Pistol lift is removed in preparation for the new return. Tower #8, the last lift tower just before the return station is removed. This tower had a sign on it advising our guests to "prepare to unload".

This is the drive station, located in inside the building at the base of the Pistol lift. The chairs would go around this station on their way back up the hill. The Pistol trail as it now looks with no towers! We are very excited about having the towers removed from the trail which will now be one of the favorites in our new trail network.
